Peru recognized as ‘Most Desired Preferred Destination’ by Europe’s luxury network

PromPeru has reported that our country was once again honored abroad due to the hard work in tourism promotion that it carries out on an international scale.

“It is a great honor that Peru has been chosen this year by the Serandipians by Traveller Made Awards as the ‘Most Desired Preferred Destination’ in the world, having been nominated in this category along with Monaco, Andalusia, Australia, and New Zealand,” PromPeru Executive-President Amora Carbajal expressed.

Serandipians by Traveller Made Awards reward those that make a difference in the tourism industry —with specialized categories dedicated to its partners, which are 445 tourism companies and 3,200 travel agents, including hotels, tour, and hospitality operators.

It should be noted that the Traveller Made network is one of the main luxury networks in the world with presence in 70 countries —mainly in Europe, and it focuses on offering tailor-made luxury experiences for clients with a very high purchasing power.

It is also necessary to highlight the importance of PromPeru belonging since 2021 to the Traveller Made luxury network, which enables the board to promote our country through various activities focused on both the commercial chain and the end-consumer of the community.

This way, PromPeru‘s Tourism Promotion Department pays attention and carries out promotional actions aimed at the luxury segment in order to generate greater interest in our country, as well as to show the quality of service and tourism infrastructure through strategic partners such as Traveller Made.

It is worth mentioning that this type of recognition helps to position Peru in the minds of travelers and the media specialized in luxury tourism, as well as to generate more sales and prospects aimed at boosting tourism reactivation. A couple weeks ago, Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Roberto Sanchez reported that 242,000 foreign tourists arrived in Peru during the first quarter of 2022 —an increase of 689.3% compared to the same period of the previous year.
