PromPeru highlighted that Peru cemented its position as a tourist destination at Virtuoso Travel Week 2022 —one of the top luxury travel events in the world, held in Las Vegas, United States, from August 13 to 19.
In total, 12 Peruvian companies participated in this edition. They had the opportunity to interact with top luxury travel professionals and providers in the high-end segment.
With its participation, PromPeru has established 287 business contacts in the U.S. tourism sector and enhanced the promotion of Peru.
It should be noted that Virtuoso Travel Week is the most important annual event of Virtuoso Network in North America.
PromPeru has been a member of this network since 2008, thanks to which it has established more than 6,000 contacts with travel agents who have high purchasing power clients in the United States and Canada.
Annual sales at Virtuoso Network ranged between US$25 billion and US$30 billion.
Likewise, between January and July this year, sales grew 147% compared to the same period in 2019.
Virtuoso Network is home to more than 20,000 travel agents specialized in high-end tourism in more than 50 countries. Only the United States brings together more than 60% of travel agents belonging to this network.
