Urban Kitchen: Participatory Cuisine, Lima

Urban Kitchen is a gastronomic space for participative cooking in Lima. We will begin with a tour in the traditional market of San Isidro in the company of the resident chef, Mr. Ignacio Barrios. Afterward, we will learn, in simple terms, the different dishes in Peruvian gastronomy. Then we will sit in the table to enjoy what we have prepared, having both the experiences of a class and of a restaurant.

The experience includes:

  • Demo to prepare a chilcano with pisco.
  • Cooking workshop, where you will learn how to prepare a traditional cebiche, salmon carpaccio with ponzu sauce, two types of causa (Limeña and shrimp with huancaina) and a lomo saltado.
  • Dessert when dinner is over. Wine and ales.
  • Aprons, which you will keep as presents.
  • Cookbook with all you have learned in the class.
  • A culinary souvenir (a bottle of Peruvian extra-virgin olive oil, chocolate, coffee, etc.).
