Just a few days before the end of the year, the prestigious international food and travel magazine, TasteAtlas, has named three Peruvian cities as unmissable places to eat in 2024.
In this hard-fought ranking of 100 cities from all over the world, the culinary publication included Lima, Chiclayo, and Arequipa among the three best places to enjoy local food next year.
The Peruvian capital occupies the 20th position in this ranking, while Chiclayo and Arequipa ranked 75th and 76th, respectively.
The Peruvian cities obtained a score of between 4.60 and 4.39 points. The highest score in the list is 4.93 points.
Other cities
The competition saw the participation of cities across the world. The first three places were taken by the Italian cities of Rome, Bologna, and Naples.
They are followed by Vienna (Austria), Tokyo, Osaka (Japan), Hong Kong, Turin (Italy), Gaziantep (Turkey), and Bandung (Indonesia).
Other cities preceding Lima in the ranking include Jakarta (Indonesia), Guadalajara (Mexico), Beijing (China), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Paris (France), Surabaya (Indonesia), Tbilisi (Georgia), Bangkok (Thailand), and Heraklion (Greece).
